Thermoelectric temperature sensors are developed that directly measure heat changes during optical‐based neural stimulation with millisecond precision. The sensors reveal the temperature windows for safe reversible neural modulation: 1.4–4.5 °C enables reversible neural inhibition, while temperatures above 6.1 °C cause permanent thermal damage.

The pyrene and ether groups are incorporated into the covalent triazine polymer (CTP) structure. The synergistic effect of the two functional groups endows CTP with better electron transfer, light absorption, and oxygen activation properties. An impressive apparent quantum yield (13.2% @420 nm) and a remarkable solar‐to‐chemical conversion efficiency ...

Novel Si(1-x)Ge(x)/Si heterojunction internal photoemission long wavelength infrared detectors [PDF]
There is a major need for long-wavelength-infrared (LWIR) detector arrays in the range of 8 to 16 microns which operate with close-cycle cryocoolers above 65 K. In addition, it would be very attractive to have Si-based infrared (IR) detectors that can be

Crack‐Growing Interlayer Design for Deep Crack Propagation and Ultrahigh Sensitivity Strain Sensing
A crack‐growing semi‐cured polyimide interlayer enabling deep cracks for ultrahigh sensitivity in low‐strain regimes is presented. The sensor achieves a gauge factor of 100 000 at 2% strain and detects subtle deformations such as nasal breathing, highlighting potential for minimally obstructive biomedical and micromechanical sensing applications ...
