Infrared internal emission detectors

SPIE Proceedings, 1992
This paper will review the current state of the art of internal photoemission infrared detectors. That is, detectors which sense in a multi-step process, beginning with photon absorption in an electrode and terminating in emission of an excited carrier over a potential barrier into a semiconductor depletion region.

Metal Oxide Infrared Emission

1971
Abstract : Chemiluminescence from a beam of group IIA metals traversing a scattering chamber filled with NO2 or N2O gas has been studied as a function of wavelength and pressure. The Ba + NO2 and the Ba, Sr, and Ca + N2O chemiluminescent reactions are first order in both reactants while Ca + NO2 and Sr + NO2 are quadratic in the NO2 pressure.

INFRARED EMISSIVITY OF OH

1961
Abstract : An application of the results of diatomic gas emision analysi to the OH molecule is presented. The fundamental band strength of the OH molecule was taken as 1/100 sq. cm./atm. at 300 K. In the asence of experimentl data, the factor theta (the raio of the zeroth to the first order term in the expansion of the electric dipole moment) and the ...

Infrared Emission from Young Planetary Nebulae

1987
Measurements of planetary nebulae in the far infrared, especially from IRAS, are presented and discussed. The dust temperature and intrinsic luminosity are found to vary as the nebula evolves. The source of energy which heats the dust is discussed and it is shown that heating by nebular Lyman α is usually insufficient, especially in young nebulae.
