Prioritized Real‐Time UAV‐Based Vessel Detection for Efficient Maritime Search

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 43, Issue 2, Page 561-577, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Real‐time vessel detection in maritime environments is crucial for diverse applications requiring speed and accuracy. Static camera views often introduce blind spots, compromising detection efficiency. This paper proposes a novel, real‐time UAV‐based system that uses a dynamic camera control strategy to address this limitation.

An Indication of Gas Inflow in Clumpy Star-forming Galaxies near z ∼ 1: Lower Gas-phase Metallicities in Clumpy Galaxies Compared to Nonclumpy Galaxies

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Despite the ubiquity of clumpy star-forming galaxies at high-redshift, the origin of clumps are still largely unconstrained due to the limited observations that can validate the mechanisms for clump formation.

NIKA2 Cosmological Legacy Survey. First measurement of the confusion noise at the IRAM 30 m telescope

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
The NIKA2 Cosmological Legacy Survey (N2CLS) is a large programme using the NIKA2 dual-band camera on the IRAM 30 m telescope. Its goal is to improve our understanding of the physics of distant Dusty Star Forming Galaxies (DSFGs) by carrying out deep ...

Extragalactic Results from the Infrared Space Observatory

open access: yes, 2000
More than a decade ago the IRAS satellite opened the realm of external galaxies for studies in the 10 to 100 micron band and discovered emission from tens of thousands of normal and active galaxies.

The infrared supernova rate in starburst galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We report the results of our ongoing search for extincted supernovae (SNe) at near-infrared wavelengths. We have monitored at 2.2 micron a sample of 46 Luminous Infrared Galaxies and detected 4 SNe.

Quantum GraviElectro Dynamics

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 1, January 2026.
The BRST invariant Lagrangian of the gravitationally interacting U(1)$U(1)$ gauge theory, namely the Quantum GraviElectro Dynamics (QGED). The Yan–Mills theory with the Hilbert–Einstein gravitational Lagrangian, namely the Yang–Mills–Utiyama (YMU) theory, is defined and quantised using the standard procedure. The theory is perturbatively renormalisable,

2 mm Observations and the Search for High-redshift Dusty Star-forming Galaxies

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Finding high-redshift ( z ≫ 4) dusty star-forming galaxies is extremely challenging. It has recently been suggested that millimeter selections may be the best approach since the negative K-correction makes galaxies at a given far-infrared luminosity ...

An IRAS High Resolution Image Restoration (HIRES) Atlas of All Interacting Galaxies in the IRAS Revised Bright Galaxy Sample

open access: yes, 2004
We present high-resolution (30"-1') 12, 25, 60, and 100 micron images of 106 interacting galaxy systems contained in the IRAS Revised Bright Galaxy Sample (RBGS, Sanders et al.

Dense Molecular Gas and the Role of Star Formation in the Host Galaxies of Quasi-Stellar Objects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
New millimeter-wave CO and HCN observations of the host galaxies of infrared-excess Palomar Green quasi-stellar objects (PG QSOs) previously detected in CO are presented.
