Graded‐Interface Dual‐Environment Hydrogel‐Polymer Electrolyte for Stabilized Anode and Sustained Cathode Kinetics in Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A graded‐interface hydrogel‐polymer electrolyte decouples water activity to simultaneously stabilize the Zn anode and sustain cathode kinetics. The flexible design supports dendrite‐free cycling over 1600 h, high capacity in both MnO2 and V2O5 full cells, and stable pouch‐cell performance under bending, resolving the fundamental water conflict in ...

Critique of fourier transform infrared microspectroscopy applications to prostate pathology diagnosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Prostate cancer is a biologically heterogenous disease with considerable variation in clinical aggressiveness. Gleason grade, the universally accepted method for classification of prostate cancer, is subjective and gives limited predictive information

Multi-Directional Tensor Average Rank Regularization for High-Order Tensor Completion

open access: yesIEEE Access
Recently, the high-order tensor Singular Value Decomposition (t-SVD) and the t-SVD rank has achieved great success in tensor completion. However, the t-SVD rank lacks the flexibility to capture the correlations between different modes of a high-order ...

Resolving the Cu(bdc) Conundrum: Identifying Non‐Porous Packing of Prototypical Coordination‐Network Thin Films Combining Advanced Diffraction Techniques and Computational Modelling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed Cu(bdc) forms prototypical MOF thin films for which a multitude of not fully satisfactory structural models have been suggested. Combining rotating grazing‐incidence diffraction and X‐ray reflectivity on two complementary samples with density‐functional theory, we first discard the previously suggested models and then identify a non ...

Range performance models of infrared imaging systems: developmental background and view into the future

open access: yes
This paper provides an overview of the development of different models to determine the range performance of infrared imaging systems. It starts with the grassroots of the motivation of these models to be able to compare the detection, recognition and ...

Long‐Range Coordination Environment Modulates Single‐Atom Local States and Systemic Impact on CO2 Photoconversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Terminal groups on Cu porphyrins modulate the electronic states of single‐atom Cu centers through a long‐range electronic effect, without altering the Cu coordination geometry. Meanwhile, a multi‐descriptor framework is established that incorporates porphyrin regulation, hybrid catalyst properties, and CO2 photoreduction capabilities.

Assessment and optimisation of 3D optical topography for brain imaging

open access: yes, 2010
Optical topography has recently evolved into a widespread research tool for non-invasively mapping blood flow and oxygenation changes in the adult and infant cortex.

A Molecular Shielding Strategy to Develop Low Protein Binding, Renal Clearable Pan‐Cancer Near‐Infrared Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecular shielding strategy to convert “protein‐sticky” and “non‐tumor specific” clinical ICG dye, into a “low protein binding” and “tumor‐targeting” dye with prolonged blood circulation and renal clearance is described. These shielded ICGs demonstrate strong tumor accumulation and optimal tissue clearance, resulting in high tumor‐to‐background ...
