A perspective on medical infrared imaging
Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology, 2005Since the early days of thermography in the 1950s, image processing techniques, sensitivity of thermal sensors and spatial resolution have progressed greatly, holding out fresh promise for infrared (IR) imaging techniques. Applications in civil, industrial and healthcare fields are thus reaching a high level of technical performance.

Learning to Colorize Infrared Images
2018This paper focuses on near infrared (NIR) image colorization by using a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) architecture model. The proposed architecture consists of two stages. Firstly, it learns to colorize the given input, resulting in a RGB image.

Infrared Imaging of Brain Function
1993The aim of this article is to describe in detail a technique to record the thermal response of the animal brain cortex using an infrared (IR) optical system (Budko et al., 1985). We compare this method, which we call thermoencephaloscopy (TES), with other techniques for studying the cortex. Results obtained using TES are analyzed in relation to results
