Kinetics‐Controlled Architecture of Binder‐Free Organic Electrodes for Enhanced Ion Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Pulse reverse electrodeposition controls nucleation and growth to create hierarchically porous Py‐derived oligomeric electrodes with enhanced ionic accessibility and reduced transport resistance. The resulting binder‐free architectures translate these transport advantages into practical sodium‐storage functionality.

MSTCNet: Toward Generalization Improving for Multiframe Infrared Small Target Detection

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Multiframe infrared small target detection plays an important role in various fields, especially in remote sensing. In continuous-frame infrared small target videos, factors such as the background change with the movement of the target.

A Contrario Paradigm for Yolo-Based Infrared Small Target Detection

open access: yesICASSP 2024 - 2024 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP)
Detecting small to tiny targets in infrared images is a challenging task in computer vision, especially when it comes to differentiating these targets from noisy or textured backgrounds. Traditional object detection methods such as YOLO struggle to detect tiny objects compared to segmentation neural networks, resulting in weaker performance when ...

Non-negative infrared patch-image model: Robust target-background separation via partial sum minimization of singular values

open access: yes, 2017
To further enhance the small targets and suppress the heavy clutters simultaneously, a robust non-negative infrared patch-image model via partial sum minimization of singular values is proposed.

Pressure‐Assisted Dimensional Transformation of 2D Hydrogenated Borophene into 0D Boron Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrogenated borophene (HB) is transformed into distinct boron nanostructures through a solvent‐free thermal process. Under flowing nitrogen, hydrogen escape promotes reconstruction into B2O3 nanoplatelets, whereas hydrogen‐induced pressure under sealed conditions facilitates fragmentation into boron quantum dots.

Preferential Interfacial Engineering of Hydrogels via Interdigitated Nanoparticle Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Robust surface functionalization of hydrogel surfaces is performed via interdigitated metal nanoparticle assembly, inducing strong affinity with the hydrogel matrix. The partially exposed nanoparticle domains act as interfacial nanobridges that mediate both chemical and physical bonding with diverse materials, including small molecules, fluorous ...

Multistage, Self‐Sensing Artificial Muscles With Coordination From Liquid Crystal Elastomer‐Graphene Composite Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by skeletal muscles’ precision and endurance, CoilLCE integrates a self‐sensing liquid crystal elastomer/graphene artificial muscle with an embedded Joule‐heating copper coil, enabling closed‐loop multistage actuation with programmable intermediate states (strain accuracy of 2%), and antagonistic coordination (32% total strain). These features
