Adaptive Optics Images of Kepler Objects of Interest [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
All transiting planets are at risk of contamination by blends with nearby, unresolved stars. Blends dilute the transit signal, causing the planet to appear smaller than it really is, or produce a false positive detection when the target star is blended ...

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Generative Adversarial Differential Analysis for Infrared Small Target Detection

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Infrared small target detection refers to the extraction of small targets in a complex, low signal-to-noise ratio background. Depthwise convolution makes it difficult to comprehensively characterize small infrared targets and ignores the importance of ...

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

FM-Net: Frequency-Aware Masked-Attention Network for Infrared Small Target Detection

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Infrared small target detection (IRSTD) aims to locate and separate targets from complex backgrounds. The challenges in IRSTD primarily come from extremely sparse target features and strong background clutter interference.

Detection of multi-tomato leaf diseases (late blight, target and bacterial spots) in different stages by using a spectral-based sensor. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Several diseases have threatened tomato production in Florida, resulting in large losses, especially in fresh markets. In this study, a high-resolution portable spectral sensor was used to investigate the feasibility of detecting multi-diseased tomato ...
