ABSTRACT Photoremovable protecting groups (PPGs) offer a straightforward solution for the temporary inactivation of biologically active substrates and their subsequent controlled release by light irradiation. Their relatively easy design and mode of application have made them useful tools for studying dynamic biological processes in vitro and in vivo ...

The graphical abstract represents fish scales, a waste by product, were repurposed as a bio‐adsorbent for Cr(III) and Co(II) removal. The scales were washed, dried, and ground before being tested under varying concentrations. FTIR analysis showed changes in functional groups after adsorption, while SEM revealed metal ion attachment.

Red Supergiants in the Local Group
Galaxies in the Local Group span a factor of 15 in metallicity, ranging from the super-solar M31 to the Wolf-Lundmark-Melotte (WLM) galaxy, which is the lowest-metallicity (0.1xZsun) Local Group galaxy currently forming stars.

This study presents a novel, rapid method for in situ functionalization of carbon electrodes using redox‐active form of the 6‐hydroxyflavone. The resulting multiwalled carbon nanotubes with redox‐active HFLA (MWCNT@HFLA‐Redox) electrode enables sensitive, selective detection of toxic phenylhydrazine, with excellent performance (limit of detection: 7 nM)
