Time-resolved mid-infrared dual-comb spectroscopy [PDF]
Dual-comb spectroscopy can provide broad spectral bandwidth and high spectral resolution in a short acquisition time, enabling time-resolved measurements. Specifically, spectroscopy in the mid-infrared wavelength range is of particular interest, since most of the molecules have their strongest rotational-vibrational transitions in this "fingerprint ...

Follow-Up Near-infrared Spectroscopy of Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies observed by ISO [PDF]
We present low resolution near-infrared spectroscopy of an unbiased sample of 24 ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs), selected from samples previously observed spectroscopically in the mid-infrared with the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO). Qualitatively, the near-infrared spectra resemble those of starbursts.

Infrared spectroscopy of proteins
This review discusses the application of infrared spectroscopy to the study of proteins. The focus is on the mid-infrared spectral region and the study of protein reactions by reaction-induced infrared difference spectroscopy.

The recent discovery of “ultrahot” ( P < 1 day) Neptunes has come as a surprise: some of these planets have managed to retain gaseous envelopes despite being close enough to their host stars to trigger strong photoevaporation and/or Roche lobe overflow ...

Mid-infrared feed-forward dual-comb spectroscopy at 3 $μ$m [PDF]
Mid-infrared high-resolution spectroscopy has proven an invaluable tool for the study of the structure and dynamics of molecules in the gas phase. The advent of frequency combs advances the frontiers of precise molecular spectroscopy. Here we demonstrate, in the important 3-{\mu}m spectral region of the fundamental CH stretch in molecules, dual-comb ...

Single-defect spectroscopy in the shortwave infrared
Chemical defects endow materials with unique properties but their investigation is challenging due to their small footprint. Here the authors develop a high throughput shortwave infrared spectroscopy method enabling spectral identification and ...

AKARI IRC 2.5-5 um Spectroscopy of Infrared Galaxies over a Wide Luminosity Range [PDF]
We present the result of a systematic infrared 2.5-5 um spectroscopic study of 22 nearby infrared galaxies over a wide infrared luminosity range (10 < log(L_IR / Lsun) < 13) obtained from AKARI Infrared Camera (IRC). The unique band of the AKARI IRC spectroscopy enables us to access both the 3.3 um polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) emission feature

Infrared spectroscopy - alternative instrumental tool for control of bioethanol production.
We investigated the possibility of application of FT-IR (Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy) and FT-NIR (Fourier transformed near infrared spectroscopy) for analysis of mash parameters.

Near-infrared and Mid-infrared Spectroscopy with the Infrared Camera (IRC) for AKARI
The Infrared Camera (IRC) is one of the two instruments on board the AKARI satellite. In addition to deep imaging from 1.8-26.5um for the pointed observation mode of the AKARI, it has a spectroscopic capability in its spectral range.
