Visible-infrared compatible stealth metamaterial for space applications

open access: yesOptics Express
Space-to-ground visible and infrared stealth is of great importance in space technology. In this paper, we propose and demonstrate a visible-infrared compatible stealth metamaterial for space applications. The metamaterial combines a multilayer of Ge and Mo with a periodical array of Ge nano-pyramids on the top.

Multi‐dimensional, multi‐interfacial, and multi‐path synergy enables broadband absorption, corrosion resistance, Joule heating, and thermal performances in hierarchical carbon/Ni nanoparticles‐carbon nanocoils foams

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Owing to the severe electromagnetic wave (EMW) pollution and the increasingly intricate operating environments, an excellent EMW absorber with multiple functions has become imperative. Herein, 3D/0D‐1D hierarchical carbon/Ni nanoparticles‐carbon noncoils (CNCs) composite foams with multi‐dimensional, multi‐interfacial and multi‐path structures can be ...

Vanadium dioxide/aluminum composites for adaptive infrared stealth

open access: yesCeramics International
Vanadium dioxide (VO2) is assumed as a promising dynamic infrared stealth material owing to its tunable emissivity. However, the relatively high emissivity associated with VO2-based adaptive infrared stealth materials poses a constraint on their practical applications.
