A Perceptive Approach to Digital Image Watermarking Using a Brightness Model and the Hermite Transform

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
This work presents a watermarking technique in digital images using a brightness model and the Hermite Transform (HT). The HT is an image representation model that incorporates important properties of the Human Vision System (HVS), such as the analysis of local orientation, and the model of Gaussian derivatives of early vision.

Analysis and Design of a Metamaterial Lens Antenna Using the Theory of Characteristic Modes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
A new single‐layer metamaterial lens antenna aimed to operate at 10 GHz is proposed in this paper. The lens antenna consists of twelve capacitively coupled unit cells distributed along a ring and illuminated by an open‐ended circular waveguide with a metallic resonant ring. The theory of characteristic modes is used to analyze the metamaterial lens, in
