Inhomogeneous inflation: Numerical evolution [PDF]
We describe our 3-dimensional numerical relativity code for the evolution of inhomogeneous cosmologies. During the evolution the constraint equations are monitored but not solved. The code has been tested against perturbation theory with good results. We present some runs of inhomogeneous inflation with strongly inhomogeneous initial data.

Objective Somatic items used in depression assessments can potentially overlap with symptoms related to physical illness, including systemic sclerosis (SSc). No studies have looked at whether somatic depression items may be influenced by diffuse versus limited SSc disease subtypes, which are associated with varying degrees of symptom presentation.

Deflection of Slow Light by Magneto-Optically Controlled Atomic Media [PDF]
We present a semi-classical theory for light deflection by a coherent $\Lambda$-type three-level atomic medium in an inhomogeneous magnetic field or an inhomogeneous control laser. When the atomic energy levels (or the Rabi coupling by the control laser)

Diffusion in inhomogeneous media [PDF]
We consider the transport of conserved charges in spatially inhomogeneous quantum systems with a discrete lattice symmetry. We analyze the retarded two-point functions involving the charges and the associated currents at long wavelengths, compared to ...

Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

Substrated inhomogeneous metasurfaces analysis using interaction constant method
Inhomogeneous metasurfaces as a periodic array of supercells in which each supercell consists of different types of particles are good candidates for increasing the bandwidth in many applications. However, the presence of a substrate is often apparent in

Lattice distortions in YBa2Cu3O7–delta thin films grown in situ by sequential ion beam sputtering [PDF]
We have analyzed epitaxial, c-axis oriented YBa2Cu3O7–delta thin films grown in situ by sequential ion-beam sputtering on (100) SiTiO3 and (100) MgO substrates.

Scaling limits for critical inhomogeneous random graphs with finite third moments [PDF]
We identify the scaling limits for the sizes of the largest components at criticality for inhomogeneous random graphs when the degree exponent $\tau$ satisfies $\tau>4$. We see that the sizes of the (rescaled) components converge to the excursion lengths

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Inhomogeneous Radiative Forcing of NF3
Nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) has the potential to make a growing contribution to the Earth’s radiative budget. In this study, the global mean radiative efficiency of NF3 is calculated as 0.188 W·m−2·ppb−1 by line-by-line method.
