Cosmological singularities in brane gravity
We present a comprehensive study of cosmological singularities within the framework of Covariant Extrinsic Gravity (CEG), addressing both the initial Big Bang singularity and potential finite-time future singularities.

Accelerating Universe from an Evolving Lambda in Higher Dimension
We find exact solutions in five dimensional inhomogeneous matter dominated model with a varying cosmological constant. Adjusting arbitrary constants of integration one can also achieve acceleration in our model.

Toughening β‐Ga2O3 via Mechanically Seeded Dislocations
β‐Ga2O3 is promising for next‐generation semiconductors but its brittleness limits flexible and high‐precision applications. Here, mechanically seeded dislocations introduced by surface deformation improved damage tolerance in (001) β‐Ga2O3. Nanoindentation and characterization show dislocations suppress cleavage cracks by enabling stable plastic ...

Quantum inhomogeneous field theory: Unruh-like effects and bubble wall friction
In this paper, we study a free scalar field in a specific (1+1)-dimensional curved spacetime. By introducing an algebraic state that is locally Hadamard, we derive the renormalized Wightman function and explicitly calculate the covariantly conserved ...

Signatures of inhomogeneity in the early universe
We have made a systematic study of the production of elemental CNO in inhomogeneous nucleosynthesis, investigating a much larger region of parameter space than previously studied. We have determined abundances of CNO elements and ascertained the main channels to their production. We have focussed in particular on the role played by the 7Li(n, γ)8Li(α,n)

An epi‐intraneural interface is developed through in silico optimization and a novel tridimensional microfabrication pipeline. The device integrates penetrating and epineural contacts on a flexible substrate. Mechanical, electrochemical, and in vivo testing in rat and pig reveal robust implantation, low‐threshold activation, and site‐dependent ...

In this study, the preparation techniques for silver‐based gas diffusion electrodes used for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (eCO2R) are systematically reviewed and compared with respect to their scalability. In addition, physics‐based and data‐driven modeling approaches are discussed, and a perspective is given on how modeling can aid ...

Testing backreaction effects with observational Hubble parameter data
The spatially averaged inhomogeneous Universe includes a kinematical backreaction term $${\mathcal {Q}}_{\mathcal {D}}$$ QD that is relate to the averaged spatial Ricci scalar $${\langle \mathcal {R}} \rangle _{\mathcal {D}}$$ ⟨R⟩D in the framework of ...

Inhomogeneities in the early universe
The paper investigates certain nonlinear processes that are viable candidates for the mechanisms which produced large-scale inhomogeneities in the early Universe. Several nonlinear Lagrangians are presented for matter, the Korteweg-de Vries equation is analyzed, and the existence of solitons among its solutions is noted.

Artificial Amorphous Interface Matters for Boosting High‐Voltage Stable LiCoO2 Cathode
The amorphization of phosphate‐based surface layer with favorable Li‐ion conducting kinetics is realized by precisely tailored atomic‐level fabrication. This amorphous coating enables the lithium cobalt oxide (LCO) cathode superior high‐voltage rate capability and cycling performance, owing to the fast interfacial ionic transport and maintained ...
