Seismic Fragility Analysis of Retaining Walls Dependent on Initial Conditions
Fragility curves of retaining walls constitute an efficient tool for the estimation of seismic risk and can be utilized for prevention from potential damage or for immediate decision-making.

Naturalness in cosmological initial conditions [PDF]
We propose a novel approach to the problem of constraining cosmological initial conditions. Within the framework of effective field theory, we classify initial conditions in terms of boundary terms added to the effective action describing the cosmological evolution below Planckian energies.

Motion Characteristics After Ricochet: An Experimental Investigation
The ricochet behaviour of the air–water trans-media vehicle (AWTMV) during water-entry crossing was experimentally investigated. Three types of small-scale AWTMV including cone, ogive, and flat nose were used in the test.

Event-based hydrological models are extensively adopted for the estimation of design floods and in operational flood forecasting frameworks. However, an accurate estimation of the initial hydrologic condition (IHC) is essential in enhancing the ...

Initial conditions for supersymmetric inflation [PDF]
We perform a numerical investigation of the fields evolution in the supersymmetric inflationary model based on radiative corrections. Supergravity corrections are also included. We find that, out of all the examined initial data, only about 10% give an adequate amount of inflation and can be considered as ''natural''. Moreover, these successful initial

Note on initial conditions for small-field inflation [PDF]
We show that initial conditions for small-field inflation can be determined quantum mechanically by introducing a suitable flattened region in the scalar potential.

In this work, the phenomenon of «deterministic chaos» in a nonlinear RL-diode electrical circuit of a sinusoidal current was investigated. The diode is represented by an equivalent circuit, which in the general case includes a nonlinear resistor and two

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

ABSTRACT Cup‐like nuclei are a distinctive morphological feature observed in certain cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We provide evidence that they characterize DUX4/ERG ALL independently of IKZF1 deletion and reveal marked mitochondrial accumulation in this ALL subset.
