Hille–Yosida-Type Theorem for Fractional Differential Equations with Dzhrbashyan–Nersesyan Derivative

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
It is a well-known fact that the Dzhrbashyan–Nersesyan fractional derivative includes as particular cases the fractional derivatives of Riemann–Liouville, Gerasimov–Caputo, and Hilfer.

INITIAL VALUE PROBLEM FOR FRACTIONAL ORDER EQUATION WITH CONSTANT COEFFICIENTS

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2016
In this paper we construct an explicit representation of the solution of the Cauchy problem for ordinary differential equation of fractional order with Dzhrbashyan-Nersesyan operators.

Differential Item Functioning on the Patient Health Questionnaire‐8 by Disease Subtype, Language, Sex, and Age among People with Systemic Sclerosis: A Scleroderma Patient‐centered Intervention Network Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Somatic items used in depression assessments can potentially overlap with symptoms related to physical illness, including systemic sclerosis (SSc). No studies have looked at whether somatic depression items may be influenced by diffuse versus limited SSc disease subtypes, which are associated with varying degrees of symptom presentation.

The initial-value problem for a Gardner-type equation

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies
Discussed here is a regularized version(0.1)ut+ux+uux+Au2ux−uxxt=0, $${u}_{t}+{u}_{x}+u{u}_{x}+A{u}^{2}{u}_{x}-{u}_{\mathit{xxt}}=0,$$ of the classical Gardner equationut+ux+uux+Au2ux+uxxx=0, $${u}_{t}+{u}_{x}+u{u}_{x}+A{u}^{2}{u}_{x}+{u}_{\mathit{xxx ...

Retractions in rheumatology: trends, causes, and implications for research integrity

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective We aimed to describe the trends and main reasons for study retraction in rheumatology literature. Methods We reviewed the Retraction Watch database to identify retracted articles in rheumatology. We recorded the main study characteristics, authors’ countries, reasons for retraction, time from publication to retraction, and trends over time ...

Initial boundary value problem for a system in elastodynamics with viscosity

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2005
In this paper we prove existence of global solutions to boundary-value problems for two systems with a small viscosity coefficient and derive estimates uniform in the viscosity parameter. We do not assume any smallness conditions on the data.

Mixed Initial-Boundary Value Problem for the Capillary Wave Equation

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2016
We study the mixed initial-boundary value problem for the capillary wave equation: iut+u2u=∂x3/2u,  t>0,  x>0;  u(x,0)=u0(x),  x>0; u(0,t)+βux(0,t)=h(t),  t>0, where ∂x3/2u=(1/2π)∫0∞sign⁡x-y/x-yuyy(y) dy.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.
