A Singular Initial-Value Problem for Second-Order Differential Equations
We are interested in the existence of solutions to initial-value problems for second-order nonlinear singular differential equations. We show that the existence of a solution can be explained in terms of a more simple initial-value problem.

Numerical verification of solutions for nonlinear parabolic problems [PDF]
In this paper, we present a numerical verification method of solutions for nonlinear parabolic initial boundary value problems. Decomposing the problem into a nonlinear part and an initial value part, we apply Nakao's projection method, which is based on the full-discrete finite element method with constructive error estimates, to the nonlinear part ...

Cerebello‐Prefrontal Connectivity Underlying Cognitive Dysfunction in Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 2
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 2 (SCA2) is a hereditary cerebellar degenerative disorder, with motor and cognitive symptoms. The constellation of cognitive symptoms due to cerebellar degeneration is named cerebellar cognitive affective syndrome (CCAS), which has increasingly been recognized to profoundly impact patients' quality of life;

A hyperbolic problem with nonlinear second-order boundary damping
The initial boundary value problem for the wave equation with nonlinear second-order dissipative boundary conditions is considered. Existence and uniqueness of global generalized solutions are proved.

A novel class of Runge-Kutta-Nyström pairs sharing orders 8(6)
We are examining a second-order system of non-stiff Initial Value Problems (IVP), focusing on a scenario where the first derivatives are not present. In the realm of solving IVPs, Runge-Kutta-Nyström (RKN) pairs have proven to be highly effective.
