Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Development and identification of rheological model adapted for Powder Injection Moulding

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
An Inconel based feedstock for manufacturing super alloy components by powder injection moulding is introduced. The relationship between the rheological properties and different parameters of the feedstock is investigated, based on a prescribed model ...

Microporous Microgel Assemblies Facilitating the Recruitment and Osteogenic Differentiation of Progenitor Cells for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
There is a significant need for biomaterials with well‐defined stability and bioactivity to support tissue regeneration. In this study, we developed a tunable microgel platform that enables the decoupling of stiffness from porosity, thereby promoting bone regeneration.

Towards dynamic multiscale feedback during the injection moulding cycle of plastics

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials
Injection moulding is a very popular technology for shaping plastics. Its history stretches back to the nineteenth century, and, as a consequence, it has developed outside the framework of digitisation.
