p-representable operators in Banach spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1986
Let E and F be Banach spaces. An operator T∈L(E,F) is called p-representable if there exists a finite measure μ on the unit ball, B(E*), of E* and a function g∈Lq(μ,F), 1p+1q=1, such thatTx=∫B(E*)〈x,x*〉g(x*)dμ(x*)for all x∈E.

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Classifying Resolving Lists by Distances between Members

open access: yesTheory and Applications of Graphs, 2016
L Let $G$ be a connected graph and let $w_1,\cdots w_r$ be a list of vertices. We refer the choice of a triple $(r;G;w_1,\cdots w_r)$, as a {\em metric selection.} Let $\rho$ be the shortest path metric of $G$. We say that $w_1,\cdots w_r$ {\em resolves $

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

α-Labelings of a Class of Generalized Petersen Graphs

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory, 2015
An α-labeling of a bipartite graph Γ of size e is an injective function f : V (Γ) → {0, 1, 2, . . . , e} such that {|ƒ(x) − ƒ(y)| : [x, y] ∈ E(Γ)} = {1, 2, . . .

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

On the strong beta-number of galaxies with three and four components

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2020
The beta-number of a graph is the smallest positive integer for which there exists an injective function such that each is labeled and the resulting set of edge labels is for some positive integer . The beta-number of is if there exists no such integer .
