Extraction of Antimicrobial Peptides From Fava Bean Protein Hydrolyzate by Phosphorylated Biochar
Antimicrobial peptides were extracted by functional biochar in one step. The enriched peptides demonstrated significantly enhanced antibacterial activity. ABSTRACT The extraction of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) from plant proteins remains challenging due to their low abundance, structural diversity, and the need for mild, efficient, and selective ...

Injective Hulls are not Natural
In a category with injective hulls and a cogenerator, the embeddings into injective hulls can never form a natural transformation, unless all objects are injective.

Pasture feeding improves the fatty acid composition of lamb muscle
The diet of lambs influences the nutritional quality of their meat. This study showed that pasture‐fed lamb contained significantly higher concentrations of beneficial omega‐3 fatty acids than lamb finished on concentrate diets. These long‐chain omega‐3 fatty acids are associated with improved cardiovascular health and other health benefits.

Covers of acts over monoids II
In 1981 Edgar Enochs conjectured that every module has a at coverand finally proved this, independently with Bican and El Bashir, in 2001.Enochs had in fact considered different types of covers as early as 1963,for example injective and torsion free ...

The new WHO infertility guideline: A universal right to equitable, evidence‐based fertility care
Abstract The WHO ‘Guideline for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infertility’ heralds a significant global shift towards recognizing infertility as a medical condition requiring prevention, diagnosis, treatment and policy support. This recognition is vital for the one in six people with infertility worldwide and for policymakers trying to ...

Abstract BACKGROUND Rice milling characteristics and storage stability are critical traits influencing industrial applications. Floury endosperm rice carrying the flo4‐4 allele is valuable for dry milling but exhibits reduced storage stability associated with altered starch structural characteristics.

Soluble oat components: effects of kilning on extraction and functionality
Abstract BACKGROUND This study evaluated the effect of kilning on physicochemical and functional properties of soluble fraction in oat varieties. Kilning was applied prior to extraction, and its impact on composition, extractability and functionality was evaluated.

Pregabalin Efficacy in Treatment of Chronic Neurogenic Cough
The use of neuromodulators for chronic cough has increased; however, the choice of medication, dosing regimen, and duration are still unclear. This longitudinal study of 95 adults taking pregabalin, 75 mg twice daily, for CNC demonstrated 78% improvement or resolution of cough, 17% unchanged, 1% worse cough, with a mean of 6 weeks of therapy, and only ...

A note on injective hulls of posemigroups
Summary: In this note, we prove the existence of \(\mathcal E_\leq\)-injective hulls in the category \(\mathbf{PoSgr}_\leq\) of posemigroups and their submultiplicative order-preserving maps; here \(\mathcal E_\leq\) denotes the class of those morphisms \(h : A \to B\) for which \(h(a_1)\cdots h(a_n)\leq h(a)\) always implies \(a_1\cdots a_n\leq a ...
