Implant Injector for Retropectoral Augmentation
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1987The implant injector allows an augmentation of the breast through very small incisions with silicone gel implants without endangering them mechanically. This way the risk of damaging nerves in the axillary region is minimal, operation time is shortened, and the visible scar can be reduced considerably.

Disposable Implant Injector with Expandable Outlet
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1993A disposable breast implant injector with expandable outlet is presented. This new injector is convenient to use and prevents cross-infection. There is also a lower chance of contamination from axillary skin. The expandable outlet allows decreased resistance during injection and therefore reduces injection time and lowers the chance of damage or ...

Gd-implanted GaN as a candidate for spin injector
SPIE Proceedings, 2006Due to their unique physical properties GaN-based heterostructures show a great promise for spintronics applications. This stimulates the search for GaN-based ferromagnetic semiconductors which can be used for injection of spin polarized carriers in device structures. In this study, magnetic properties of GaN layers implanted with Gd + ions to various

A Livestock Hormone Pellet Injector for Implanting PIT Tags
North American Journal of Fisheries Management, 1994Abstract A low-cost livestock hormone injection device was modified to allow rapid injection of passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags into fish. The device can securely hold up to 24 tags in its plastic rotary cylinder, which protects the tags during transportation and use.

Intraocular Lens Injector–Induced Stress on the Corneal Incisions During Lens Implantation
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 2014To describe a model for calculating induced stress on corneal incisions during intraocular lens implantation, and to compare the nozzles of common injectors using 2 incision sizes.Experimental study.A finite element calculation model was developed and used to compare 7 commercially available injectors in widespread clinical use.

Single-action implantation of a 3-piece acrylic intraocular lens with an injector
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2003We report a method to insert a 3-piece AcrySof MA30BA acrylic foldable intraocular lens (IOL) (Alcon) in a single action using a Monarch II (Alcon) injector. The technique was used in 134 eyes. The incision widths ranged from 3.00 to 3.75 mm. The IOLs were successfully inserted in the capsular bag.

Several transscleral suturing techniques require intricate surgical maneuvers and are associated with an increased risk for surgical trauma. We describe a new scleral fixation method that combines the advantages of temporary haptic externalization and injector implantation of an intraocular lens (IOL). After IOL insertion with the injector, each haptic
