[Injector implantation of a scleral-fixated intraocular lens].

Der Ophthalmologe : Zeitschrift der Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, 2007
In this pilot study, a new injector technique for small-incision implantation of scleral-fixated intraocular lenses (IOLs) was evaluated for IOL stability and visual rehabilitation.Secondary lens implantation was performed in 18 aphakic eyes using a new small incision technique with injector implantation.

Preloaded injector for intraocular lens implantation without the use of ophthalmic viscosurgical devices

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2008
To evaluate a new preloaded intraocular lens (IOL) injector (KS-VF) that uses ordinary irrigating solution alone to implant a foldable IOL and form and maintain the anterior chamber and capsular bag formation and maintenance.Department of Ophthalmology, Kitasato University, School of Medicine, Kanagawa, Japan. The KS-VF disposable injector is preloaded ...

Effect of manual, preloaded, and automated preloaded injectors on corneal incision architecture after IOL implantation

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2020
Purpose: To analyze the effects on corneal morphology of manual, preloaded, and automated preloaded intraocular lens (IOL) injectors in eye bank human corneas by environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) and in patients after phacoemulsification using anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT).

Transbronchial radioactive implantation using a Flexible Injector System. An improved technique for endobronchial brachytherapy

Radiotherapy and Oncology, 1986
A new implantation device for endobronchial brachytherapy is described. This implantation system is flexible and can be easily passed through the suction channel of a flexible bronchofiberscope (FBF) for radionuclide implantation of the tumor. All four patients implanted using this system, experienced excellent palliation of their symptoms.

Safety assessment of a new single-use small-incision injector for intraocular lens implantation

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2011
To evaluate the safety of a new injector, the Raysert R-INJ-04/18, for implantation of the C-flex intraocular lens (IOL).Ophthalmology Department, Kaplan Medical Center, Rehovot, Israel.Experimental study.Sixty IOLs were subdivided into 2 equally sized groups. Group A IOLs were injected using the established R-INJ-04 injector, and those in Group B were

Piezo-powered floating gate injector for self-powered fatigue monitoring in biomechanical implants

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2007
In this paper we describe an implementation and modeling of a novel fatigue monitoring sensor based on integration of piezoelectric transduction with floating gate avalanche injection. The miniaturized sensor enables continuous battery-less monitoring and failure predictions of biomechanical implants. Measured results from a fabricated prototype in a 0.

Bacterial anterior chamber contamination with foldable silicone lens implantation using a forceps and an injector

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 1996
To compare the rate of anterior chamber (AC) contamination during implantation of a foldable three-piece silicone lens using a forceps and an injector.Department of Ophthalmology, University of Saarland, Homburg (Saar), Germany. In a prospective, randomized study, we cultured AC aspirates of patients who had phacoemulsification with silicone lens ...

Implantation and desorption of tritium and tritium recovery from the JET neutral beam injectors

Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1992
The measurement of the growth and decay of the neutron yield from a water-cooled copper target during bombardment with intense (6 MW) beams of deuterium and deuterium-doped hydrogen beams is reported. Data obtained from the desorption of tritium from the neutral injector used to produce tritium beams for the JET preliminary tritium experiment is also ...
