Analysis of microleakage at fixing the fiberglass posts and cast root inlays on self-etching adhesive system

open access: yesЭндодонтия Today, 2020
The effectiveness of restoration of decayed teeth with molded inlays and fiberglass posts is discussed in the article. Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the authors investigated the degree of microleakage at fixing posts and root inlays.

Characterization of Lithia‐Based Machinable Glass‐Ceramic Materials

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Lithia‐based glass ceramics lead the indirect single‐unit restoration market, but the underlying evidence is dominated by a single material. New materials have been introduced. The purpose was to investigate the elemental composition, elemental oxide composition, as‐fabricated surface morphology, as‐fabricated flexural strength ...

Clinical evaluation of prefabricated ceramic inlays

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dental Sciences, 2016
Background: One of the methods to overcome the problem of polymerization contraction of posterior composites is to use prefabricated ceramic inlays in combination with composites. Several studies have shown that these pre fabricated ceramic inlays act as

Toughening of graphite-epoxy composites by interlaminar perforated Mylar films [PDF]

open access: yes
Fracture and notch strength tests of graphite-epoxy composites showed that unidirectional lay-ups generally exhibit longitudinal cracking before failure, whereas multidirectional lay-ups fail transversely with little longitudinal cracking.
