Lopezia racemosa is one of the most important weeds of Mexican origin. The methanolic extract of this plant (MELR) is mainly composed of 5 glycosides derived from quercetin. MELR has ability to scavenge radicals such as DPPH and ABTS. In addition, it has absorption in the UVA region.
