Vygotsky’s inner speech in second language learning [PDF]
. This thesis focuses on Vygotsky’s theory on inner speech and inner speech in second language learning. To deepen the understanding of inner speech some supporting theories such as sociocultural theory, mediation, Zone of proximal development and ...

Whole‐genome analysis of 1,054 chickens reveals three ancestral sources (NWC, SYA, and SHF) with distinct temporal entry patterns into the Tibetan Plateau. Route‐specific selection scans, calibrated against a demographic null, suggest complementary functional enrichments—vascular homeostasis (NWC), calcium signaling and cardiac adaptation (SYA), and ...

Production and comprehension of speech are closely interwoven. For example, the ability todetect an error in one's own speech, halt speech production, and finally correct the error can beexplained by assuming an inner speech loop which continuously ...

Bone cancer pain and depression share a common origin: astrocytic A2‐to‐A1 transition in the posterior piriform cortex. This phenotypic shift disrupts the ATP–adenosine–A2AR–norepinephrine axis, simultaneously driving nociceptive and affective dysfunction.

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Inner Speech and Prejudice in Proust’s À la recherche du temps perdu
In this paper, I present some remarks about inner speech and prejudice based on an analysis of one passage of Marcel Proust’s A la recherche du temps perdu (In search of lost time). It shows how stereotypes are build and maintained and how the process of

Smart Nanotechnologies for Multimodal Neuromodulation and Brain Interfacing
Recent advances in smart nanotechnologies are expanding the toolbox for brain interfacing, from wireless neuromodulation and high‐resolution sensing to targeted delivery within the central nervous system. By combining responsive nanomaterials with bioinspired design, these platforms enable multimodal interactions with neurons and glia, while also ...

Inner Speech, Imagined Speech, and Auditory Verbal Hallucinations
A theory which has had significant influence seeks to explain auditory verbal hallucinations (AVHs) as utterances in inner speech which are not properly monitored and are consequently misattributed to some external source.

Dynamic decellularized hydrogels are prepared using bovine decellularized small intestine submucosa (SIS) norbornene (dSIS‐NB). Bovine dSIS contained significant amounts of disulfide‐rich fibrillin‐I, enabling ‘self‐clickable’ thiol‐norbornene gelation and spatiotemporal tuning of hydrogel physicochemical properties.
