Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

Knowledge Graphs for Innovation Ecosystems

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
Innovation ecosystems can be naturally described as a collection of networked entities, such as experts, institutions, projects, technologies and products. Representing in a machine-readable form these entities and their relations is not entirely attainable, due to the existence of abstract concepts such as knowledge and due to the confidential, non ...

Ionic Liquid (IL) Compatibilization of Macropore‐Infused Nanocomposite Emulsion Thermosets (MINETs) for Structural Ion Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Macropore‐infused nanocomposite emulsion thermosets (MINETs) offer tunable multifunctionality due to their incorporation of structural resin, functional nanoparticles, and working fluid stabilized by surfactant. Here we show that if ionic liquid working fluids are introduced, structural capacitive (conductive particles) or separator (insulating ...
