Quantitative inorganic paper chromatography

The Analyst, 1952
It is possible to alter the aspect of a paper chromatogram by working on six influencing factors. The study of these influences leads to the definition of conditions for obtaining individual cation or anion chromatographic spots on paper. Examples of each influencing factor are given, together with working details for a new chromatographic separation ...

Inorganic Analysis by Paper Ionophoresis

Nature, 1951
SINCE the description of the electrophoresis of amino-acids by Wieland and Fischer1 several workers2,3 have made observations on the ionophoresis of inorganic ions inside filter paper. However, these studies were purely theoretical and did not indicate the possibility of separating inorganic ions for analytical purposes.

Paper chromatography of inorganic anions

Journal of Chromatography A, 1962
Abstract The R F values are given of about 40 inorganic anions in a number of isopropanol-1.5 N ammonia mixtures, as well as on anion exchange resin paper with N KCl or N KNO 3 as solvent. These data together with the electrophoretic mobilities in o.r N NaOH are used in a scheme of identification based on the principle of “ R F spectra”.

Paper chromatography of inorganic ions

Journal of Chromatography A, 1961
Summary The chromatographic behaviour of metal ions on acetylated paper with butanol-HCl was investigated. The lower valencies of polonium may be differentiated in this system.

Highly Flexible and Nonflammable Inorganic Hydroxyapatite Paper

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2014
AbstractA highly flexible and nonflammable inorganic hydroxyapatite (HAP) paper made from HAP ultralong nanowires is reported. The paper can be used for printing and writing and is promising for the permanent and safe storage of information, such as archives and important documents.

Paper spray ionization for ambient inorganic analysis

Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, 2014
RATIONALE The feasibility of using paper spray ionization as an ambient ionization method for inorganic analysis was investigated. METHODS Aqueous solutions were spotted onto paper triangles and high voltage was applied to induce ...

The paper chromatography of inorganic cations

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1950
Abstract The R f values of a number of cations in solvents containing different acids were determined. The R f value was found to be influenced by the solvent in those cases where complexes between the cation and acid contained in the solvent were formed. The tables of R f values are also of use for qualitative analysis.

Inorganic adsorption paper chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 1958
Abstract Inorganic chromatograms were developed using aqueous solvents of different pH. The results obtained have been interpreted in terms of a process of adsorption and displacement.
