High-power multi-modular matrix converters with sinusoidal input/output waveforms
2009 35th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2009In high-power applications such as medium-voltage (MV) drives, multilevel voltage-source converters are widely used today. On the other hand, the study on matrix converters (MC) has primarily been limited to the low power range. Aiming to combine benefits from both multilevel structure and direct power conversion, this article investigates the ...

A MULTI-OBJECTIVE ASSESSMENT OF INPUT–OUTPUT MATRIX UPDATING METHODS
Economic Systems Research, 2009This paper shows that important insights can be lost when assessing the relative performance of balancing methods solely based on individual optima. This is demonstrated through a multi-objective assessment. A trade-off curve between RAS and sign-preserving absolute differences (SPAD) is obtained based on the 60×60 Norwegian 2001 input–output table ...

Preparation for strustural path analysis from plain text input output matrix
2011 International Conference on Uncertainty Reasoning and Knowledge Engineering, 2011We are dealing with a matrix of the size 136 (formerly 79) known as financial social accounting matrix (FSAM). Inside a financial SAM is a square matrix of 107 rows times 107 columns sub set known as SAM. We are augmenting a command line based software for more functionality.

CELL‐CORRECTED RAS METHOD (CRAS) FOR UPDATING OR REGIONALIZING AN INPUT–OUTPUT MATRIX
Journal of Regional Science, 2009ABSTRACT The RAS method is used to update or regionalize a single matrix such that it conforms to new row and column totals. This paper presents a correction of the RAS method (CRAS) that uses cell variation distributions calculated from multiple matrices of different periods or different regions.

An exact method for triangularizing input-output matrixes
2007Let M be a non-negative square matrix. To each permutation P of its rows and columns we associate the sum S(P)of the cells that lie above the diagonal. By triangularization of the matrix M we mean the combinatorial problem of finding a permutation that minimizes S(P). The problem is NP hard, except that the case of an order matrix.

Construction of an Input-Output Income Distribution Matrix for the U.S.
1999In this chapter, we explain the construction of a set of disaggregated personal income accounts to be incorporated into a 1987 Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) of the U.S. The accounts are disaggregated according to eleven income brackets and eighty economic sectors on the basis of the 2-digit U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis classification.

A computational algorithm for squaring-up. I. Zero input-output matrix
[1992] Proceedings of the 31st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2005Some preliminary results on the problem of squaring-up a nonsquare linear multivariable system are presented. It is shown that, for the case considered here, the squaring-up problem can be transformed into a state feedback problem. The proposed approach ensures that the resulting squared system can retain the existing zeros where they were located and ...
