Hybrid cascaded modular multilevel converter with DC fault ride-through capability for HVDC transmission system [PDF]
A new hybrid cascaded modular multilevel converter for high-voltage dc (HVDC) transmission system is presented. The half-bridge (HB) cells are used on the main power stage and the cascade full-bridge (FB) cells are connected to its ac terminals. The main

An Ir‐based reversible copper electrodeposition variable‐emissivity device achieved over 8000 cycles with just 11% radiative temperature variation decay. This stability stems from Ir's inherent inertness, high conductivity, and strength, which collectively suppress cracking and corrosion.

Inrush Current Reduction of Three-Phase Transformers Using Optimal Energization Angle Control
When a transformer is energized, the inrush current can reach several tens of times higher than the steady-state magnetizing current, which may cause maloperation of protective relays, voltage dips and deterioration of power quality.

Damping of inrush current in superconducting transformer
In present study we analyze the inrush current in transformers with windings made of high-temperature superconducting materials. We analyze the phenomenon of damping the inrush current in superconducting transformers. Theoretical analysis results are compared with results of measurements of one-phase HTS 8,5 kVA transformer.
