Non-Local Compressive Sensing Based SAR Tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Tomographic SAR (TomoSAR) inversion of urban areas is an inherently sparse reconstruction problem and, hence, can be solved using compressive sensing (CS) algorithms.

Characteristics of Deep Long‐Period Earthquakes at Alaska Volcanoes From 2005 to 2017

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 130, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract Deep long‐period earthquakes (DLPs) are often detected near volcanoes from the crust down to the upper mantle. Exhibiting coincidence with volcanic eruptions, DLPs are recognized as potential precursors to volcanic activities yet their detection remains challenging.

Slip Modes Along a Structurally‐Driven Earthquake Barrier in Chile

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 130, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract Oceanic ridges often collocate with seismic barriers and episodic aseismic slip. However, how subducted seafloor topography drives interactions between slow and fast slip remains unclear. Here, using GNSS, InSAR and seismicity, we show interactions between a deep slow slip event (SSE) and a nearby shallow earthquake sequence that occurred in ...

Accuracy of a DTM derived from full-waveform laser scanning data under unstructured eucalypt forest: a case study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A Digital Terrain Model (DTM) is fundamental for extracting several forest canopy structure metrics from data acquired with small-footprint airborne laser scanning (ALS).

Tropospheric phase delay in interferometric synthetic aperture radar estimated from meteorological model and multispectral imagery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
ENVISAT Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer Instrument (MERIS) multispectral data and the mesoscale meteorological model MM5 are used to estimate the tropospheric phase delay in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferograms.

Practical demonstration of robust InSAR optimization for multipass InSAR

open access: yes, 2016
Multipass / multibaseline SAR interferometric measurements may suffer from, for example, non-Gaussian scatterers in the context of distributed scatterers, and unmodeled interferometric phase such as unmodeled motion phase and atmospheric phase. Robust InSAR Optimization (RIO) is a framework that systematically tackles these problems.

Breakwater settlement monitoring with InSAR data

open access: yes2014 IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2014
This paper presents a use case of the Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) technique apply to Civil Engineering to monitor the dikes settlement on the Port of Barcelona. A geostatistical analysis of the two available datasets of PSI data have been made on a Geographic Information System to obtain a continuous deformation surface.
