Insect galls of the Parque Nacional das Emas (Mineiros, GO, Brazil)
In this study we perform an inventory of the insect leaf galls of the Parque Nacional das Emas, Goias State, Brazil. We found 97 gall morphotypes, distributed on 24 botanical families comprising 37 genera and 55 species.

Sugars as Central Integrators of Plant Immunity and Stress Responses
ABSTRACT Sugars are fundamental metabolites that sustain plant growth and development, but accumulating evidence demonstrates that they also function as regulatory hubs in plant defence. In this review, we synthesise current knowledge on how carbohydrate dynamics coordinate metabolism, signalling, and structural responses to shape plant resistance ...

The number of cecidomyiid insect galls affects the photosynthesis of Machilus thunbergii host leaves
Previous studies of the impacts of galls on host leaf photosynthesis do not suggest any general trends, with a reported range of effects from negative to positive.

ABSTRACT Cytokinins (CKs), classically recognised as plant growth regulators, are increasingly implicated in plant‐microbe interactions. Studies in herbaceous plants suggest that CKs can function as signalling molecules with dual roles in plant defence, either restricting or facilitating pathogen infection.

Notes on some insect galls associated with Solanum plants in South Africa [PDF]
Four insect galls associated with indigenous Solanum plants are described and biological data on the gallformers and their parasitoids are presented. Flower galls, inhabited by caterpillars of Scrobipalpa sp.nr. concreta (Meyrick) (Gelechiidae), occurred

Meloidogyne incognita impairs eggplant growth through gall formation with changes in root cell wall components and vascular tissue disruption, while the biocontrol agent Purpureocillium lilacinum mitigates these effects by reducing nematode infection. Abstract Meloidogyne spp. induce structural changes during the development of root‐knot galls, leading
