A Way Forward to Combat Insect Pest in Rice
The damage caused by insect pest is the continual factor for the reduction of rice production. To date, 232 rice insect pest species are identified in Bangladesh and more than 100 species of insects are considered pests in rice production systems globally, but only about 20 - 33 species can cause significant economic loss.

Antimetabolic effects of plant proteins on homopteran insect pests [PDF]
Homopteran insect pests can cause severe economical damage to crop plants by both direct physical means and as vectors of plant viral diseases. They are notoriously difficult insects to control by conventional methods, primarily due to their ability to ...

Survey of rice diseases and insect pests in Northern Ghana
A survey was conducted in some rice-growing areas of northern Ghana during the rainy seasons of August-November; 1996-98 to determine the prevalence of rice pests with emphasis on diseases. Brown spot (Bipolaris oryzae) was identified as an emerging threat to rice production in the low-input cropping systems of the areas. Leaf blast (Pyricularia oryzae)

The landscape and evolutionary dynamics of derived lncRNAs in insects
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) function as crucial regulatory elements in eukaryotes, yet have remained largely unexplored across diverse insect lineages. We present a comprehensive analysis of lncRNA atlases across 115 insect species, identifying 647,691
