Immunotoxicological effects of insecticides in exposed fishes

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part C: Toxicology & Pharmacology, 2021
Biologically active compounds used in agriculture that develop near aquatic environments easily spill into rivers or lakes. As a result, insecticides, herbicides and fungicides are observed worldwide in aquatic environments and accumulated in aquatic organism.

CARDIOVASCULAR EFFECTS OF THE INSECTICIDE ENDRIN

Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, 1964
Little is known of the cardiovascular effects of endrin insecticide. Experiments to investigate these phenomena were carried out on dogs with a variety of preparations. Results show that acute administration of endrin produces bradycardia, hypertension, copious salivation, hyperexcitability, tonic–cionic convulsions, increased body temperature ...

Insecticides: Effect on drug metabolism

Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 1977
The effects of chlorinated organic insecticides on the half‐life and rate of elimination of a variety of drugs were studied in laboratory animals; observations were made in humans occupationally exposed and in birds environmentally exposed to pesticides.

Cytological effects of the insecticide tetrachlorvinphos

Toxicology Letters, 1983
The effect of the organophosphorus insecticide tetrachlorvinphos (Gardona) has been studied on the mitosis and meiosis of Vicia faba, using the pure insecticide. An aqueous saturated solution of tetrachlorvinphos affected neither mitosis (after seed-soak and root treatment) nor meiosis (after spraying the plants at the flowering stage).

INSECTICIDE EFFECTIVENESS OF FLY BAITS

Vestnik of the Russian agricultural science, 1970
To date, insecticides as bait formulations become more important, since they allow reducing environmental risks from the use of insecticides and delaying the resistance development in field populations of insects. This study was conducted to assess the insecticidal efficacy of fly baits containing neonicotinoid acetamiprid and phenylpyrazole fipronil ...

Effects of Insecticides

1972
World opinion has been awakening to a variety of man-made environmental problems during the past few years, and few of these have received more public debate than ‘the pesticide problem’. Strong emotions are evoked in people when they get the idea that they or other animals are being poisoned, regardless of whether the threat is real or imagined.
