Insensitive versus efficient dynamic load balancing in networks without blocking [PDF]

open access: yesQueueing Systems, 2006
The queueing networks without blocking are studied. A set of insensitive dynamic load balancing schemes preserving the structure of Whittle networks (i.e., a locally balanced network of processor sharing nodes -- one for each class) in the case of infinite buffers is considered.

An efficient load balancing scheme in failure insensitive routing [PDF]

open access: yes2011 Third International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN), 2011
Due to the advent of social networking services and other emerging applications, the Internet traffic is growing faster than ever. Thus, link or node failures in the Internet may generate a tremendous disaster to the services. To foster the fast recovery from the failures, various Fast Reroute schemes have been developed.

Optimal Load Balancing in Insensitive Data Networks [PDF]

open access: yesLecture Notes in Computer Science, 2005
Bonald et al. have recently characterized a set of insensitive dynamic load balancing policies by modelling the system as a Whittle network. In particular, they derived optimal “decentralized” strategies based on limited state information and evaluated their performance in simple example networks.

Insensitive load balancing in data networks

Computer Networks, 2006
In this paper, we extend and summarize our earlier work on optimal insensitive load balancing. Based on the insensitivity results by Bonald and Proutiere, we study insensitive load balancing in data networks executed either at packet or flow level.

A balanced CDMA2000 SiGe HBT load insensitive power amplifier

2006 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium, 2006
A MMIC SiGe HBT balanced power amplifier for cdma2000 is proposed. The PA delivers 28.5 dBm linear output power with an adjacent channel power ratio ACPR below -44 dBc, a PAE of 35% and a gain of 30 dB. Thanks to the balanced approach without the use of an isolator, the PA under a 4:1 VSWR load mismatch delivers 26 dBm linear output power with a 1.5 dB
