Comparison of the qCON and qNOX indices for the assessment of unconsciousness level and noxious stimulation response during surgery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The objective of this work is to compare the performances of two electroencephalogram based indices for detecting loss of consciousness and loss of response to nociceptive stimulation.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

A High-Power SPDT Switch With Resonant Isolation Based on GaAs BiFET Technology for Sub-6-GHz Front-End Modules

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this study, we present the design of a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch for Sub-6 GHz applications, implemented using a 500-nm GaAs BiFET process. To enhance power handling capability, multi-gate transistors are selectively employed.

A Radio Frequency Non-reciprocal Network Based on Switched Low-loss Acoustic Delay Lines

open access: yes, 2018
This work demonstrates the first non-reciprocal network based on switched low-loss acoustic delay lines. A 21 dB non-reciprocal contrast between insertion loss (IL=6.7 dB) and isolation (28.3 dB) has been achieved over a fractional bandwidth of 8.8% at a

A DC to 40GHz Low Cost Surface Mountable RF-VIA TM Package [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The ultimate goal for low cost packages for millimeterwave MMIC is to realize a miniature, light weight surface mount type package. This paper describes the design technologies of newly developed package, where we optimized via design by multilayer ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Estimation of Ferroelectric Material Properties and Phase-Shifter Design Key Parameters Influence on Its Figure of Merit for Optimization of Development Process

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
A model of the estimation of the ferroelectric-based phase-shifter figure of merit concerning the material properties and phase-shifter design parameters is presented.

A radiometric method for measuring the insertion loss of radome materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Radiometer system measures effective noise temperature directed towards sky, with and without radome over antenna horn. Data is then translated into computer format.

Design of millimeter-wave bandpass filters with broad bandwidth in Si-based technology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, a novel design approach is proposed for on-chip bandpass filter (BPF) design with improved passband flatness and stopband suppression. The proposed approach simply uses a combination of meander-line structures with metal-insulator-metal ...
