Revista Multidisciplinar Do Nordeste MineiroO polimorfismo engloba todas as descontinuidades que ocorrem na mesma fase do ciclo de vida. A seqüência provável de evolução do polimorfismo foi uma diferenciação inicial, a partir da rainha, ao longo de um gradiente de tamanhos, e posteriormente a segregação de dois grupos de tamanhos bem diferentes, com a eliminação de tamanhos intermediários.
