A Lightweight Procedural Layer for Hybrid Experimental–Computational Workflows in Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We unveil a prototype hybrid‐workflow framework that fuses automatedcomputation with hands‐on experiments. Built atop pyiron, a lightweight, parameterized layer translates procedure descriptions into executable manual steps, syncing instrument settings, human interventions, and data capture in real‐time today.

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Effect of Yoga Breathing Exercises on Ventilatory Function

open access: yesJournal of Gandaki Medical College, 2017
Introduction: Controlled breathing not only keeps your mind and body functioning at their best, it can also lower blood pressure, promote feelings of calm and relaxation and help you de-stress. Many experts encourage using the yoga breathing exercises as

Effects of core strengthening exercises on inspiratory muscle strength and functional capacity among obese college students

open access: yesJournal of Associated Medical Sciences
Background: Obesity weakens core muscles, impacting posture, balance, and respiratory function. Central obesity is particularly harmful due to its effect on visceral organs. Exercises targeting the core and respiratory muscles, such as inspiratory muscle

Beneficial effects of a novel inspiratory muscle training device on respiratory muscle strength and submaximal functional capacity in community-dwelling older Thai adults: a randomized controlled trial [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ
Older adults encounter progressive deterioration of all organ systems. Disease development reportedly increases with age, resulting in decreased physical performance in terms of aerobic endurance, muscular strength, and physical ability.

Effects of Inspiratory Muscles Training Plus Rib Cage Mobilization on Chest Expansion, Inspiratory Accessory Muscles Activity and Pulmonary Function in Stroke Patients

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
After stroke, limited ribcage movement may lead to impaired respiratory function. Combining threshold inspiratory muscle training with rib cage joint mobilization has been shown to enhance the recovery of respiratory function in patients with stroke. The
