Exploring the relative performance of frequency-tracking and fixed-filter phasor measurement unit algorithms under C37.118 test procedures, the effects of interharmonics, and initial attempts at merging P-class response with M-class filtering

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents improvements to frequency-tracking P-class and M-class Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) algorithms. The performance of these algorithms is tested in simulation against the reference (Basic) algorithms from the C37.118 standard, using the

Leaf‐Inspired Eutectic Skin With Extreme Fatigue Resistance and Robust Wet Adhesion for Amphibious Epidermal Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by Acorus calamus leaves, a heterogeneous eutectic skin integrates an aligned fibrous network within a hydrophobic eutectogel matrix. This hierarchical architecture triggers strain‐induced crystallization to achieve exceptional mechanical toughness and durable wet adhesion.

Discrete instantaneous frequency (DIF) estimation

open access: yes, 1996
Signals arising from practical or natural systems are often non-stationary. There are many methods to analyse non-stationary signals. Time-frequency analysis is one of the most popular techniques used for its analysis in recent years.

Ferroelectric Dynamic‐Field‐Driven Nucleation and Growth Model for Predictive Materials‐To‐Circuit Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a compact dynamic‐field‐driven nucleation and growth (DFNG) model that captures ferroelectric switching behavior under arbitrary voltage waveforms. It enables extraction of time‐dependent domain wall velocity and growth dimensionality, which can then be extended to device‐level modeling.
