Asymptotic stability of non‐instantaneous impulsive systems and T‐S fuzzy non‐instantaneous impulsive control for nonlinear systems

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2023
Abstract This paper studies the asymptotic stability for a class of non‐instantaneous impulsive systems and Takagi‐Sugeno (T‐S) fuzzy non‐instantaneous impulsive control for linear and nonlinear systems. First, a class of concrete comparison system for a more accurate and universal nonlinear non‐instantaneous impulsive model is ...

A study on the instantaneous and dynamic characteristics of impulse grounding resistance in grounding grids for artificially triggered lightning

open access: yesResults in Engineering
The impulse grounding resistance is a critical parameter for evaluating performance of lightning protection devices, and effectively reducing this resistance remains a major challenge in lightning protection or electrical engineering. While most previous

Lessons Learned in Applying Accelerometers to Nuclear Effects Testing

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2008
Exoatmospheric nuclear effects, such as those that would be encounter by reentry bodies, provide instantaneous (near zero-duration), impulsive loading of structures. Endoatmospheric nuclear effects possess an impulse that is finite in duration, but whose

Variational approach to p-Laplacian fractional differential equation with instantaneous and non-instantaneous impulses

open access: yes, 2022
In this paper, we studied the existence of solution of p-Laplacian fractional differential equation with instantaneous and non-instantaneous impulses. Some new criteria guaranteeing the existence of solutions are established for the considered problem. Finally, an examples is given to illustrate our main result.

Short-Time/-Angle Spectral Analysis for Vibration Monitoring of Bearing Failures under Variable Speed

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Vibration-condition monitoring aims to detect bearing damages of rotating machinery’s incipient failures mainly through time–frequency methods because of their efficient analysis of nonstationary signals. However, by having failures with impulse behavior,

dynoGP: Deep Gaussian Processes for Dynamic System Identification

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces a novel class of deep models for system identification, dynamical deep Gaussian processes, which combine the strengths of data‐driven methods, such as those based on neural network architectures, with the ability to output a probability distribution for uncertainty representation.

Cochlear impulse responses resolved into sets of gammatones: the case for beating of closely spaced local resonances [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2018
Gammatones have had a long history in auditory studies, and recent theoretical work suggests they may play an important role in cochlear mechanics as well.

Roll‐to‐Roll Processable EC/TC Hybrid Smart Windows Driven by a Bidirectional Dual‐Chromic Polymer Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a scalable EC/TC hybrid smart window using a DCPE that enables tunable solar modulation (ΔTsol:15–43%), fast electrochromic switching (<90 s), and strong thermal blocking (10–14°C reduction). HPMC improves thermal stability, while an optimized ISL enhances EC performance.
