Instantaneous impulses in multibody dynamics
This paper considers instantaneous impulses in multibody dynamics. Instantaneous impulses may act on the multibody from its exterior or they may appear in its interior as a consequence of two of its parts interacting by an impact imposed by a unilateral constraint.

Variational method to differential equations with instantaneous and non-instantaneous impulses
Applied Mathematics Letters, 2019A second-order differential equation with non-instantaneous impulses is studied. It is a partial case of instantaneous impulses. Applying a variational method, the existence of classical solutions is proved.

The authors study a class of abstract functional differential equations with continuous-time dynamics interspersed with impulses. At the time of an impulse \(t=s^-\), the system state \(x(t)\) changes according to the equation \[ x(s) = g(s, x(s^-)). \] Between impulses, the state \(x\) is either governed by the abstract differential equation \[ \dot{x}
