Dimension‐independent Markov chain Monte Carlo on the sphere
Abstract We consider Bayesian analysis on high‐dimensional spheres with angular central Gaussian priors. These priors model antipodally symmetric directional data, are easily defined in Hilbert spaces and occur, for instance, in Bayesian density estimation and binary level set inversion.

Video frame interpolation for high dynamic range sequences captured with dual‐exposure sensors
Abstract Video frame interpolation (VFI) enables many important applications such as slow motion playback and frame rate conversion. However, one major challenge in using VFI is accurately handling high dynamic range (HDR) scenes with complex motion.

Outcomes after allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation in young adults in Germany
Summary Young adults (YA) represent a minority among recipients of allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). In order to describe the outcome of YA following HSCT in Germany, 9299 patients who were registered with the German Registry for Stem Cell Transplantation were included in this retrospective analysis of the years 1998–2019. The

Analysing cerebrospinal fluid with explainable deep learning: From diagnostics to insights
We developed a deep learning‐based image analysis approach for the classification of cerebrospinal fluid cells. The convolutional neural network was able to identify 15 diagnostically relevant categories and performed equally good in assigning the correct diagnostic label compared to seven neuropathologists.

Learning Image Fractals Using Chaotic Differentiable Point Splatting
Abstract Fractal geometry, defined by self‐similar patterns across scales, is crucial for understanding natural structures. This work addresses the fractal inverse problem, which involves extracting fractal codes from images to explain these patterns and synthesize them at arbitrary finer scales.

Bracket Diffusion: HDR Image Generation by Consistent LDR Denoising
Abstract We demonstrate generating HDR images using the concerted action of multiple black‐box, pre‐trained LDR image diffusion models. Common diffusion models are not HDR as, first, there is no sufficiently large HDR image dataset available to re‐train them, and, second, even if it was, re‐training such models is impossible for most compute budgets ...

KupferDigital: Ontology‐Based Digital Representation for the Copper Life Cycle
It is demonstrated how data from different stages in the life cycle of a copper product can be stored in an ontology‐based data space. In order to showcase the methods and tools used in the project, four use cases are presented that show how data from different sources can be semantically described and queried from a shared data space.

StahlDigital: Ontology‐Based Workflows for the Steel Industry
The strength of the steel industry is based on the mastery of microstructure–property relationships. Digital workflows contribute to this aim by making the complexity of workflows reproducible and their execution user independent. The tools and workflows developed in the project StahlDigital as part of the German MaterialDigital initiative are ...
