Instrument response effects on the retrieval of oceanic lidar
Applied Optics, 2020Seawater properties can be retrieved from oceanic lidar returns. However, the actual returns include the ideal returns convolved by the instrument response, which inevitably introduces retrieval error. In this paper, instrument response effects on the retrieval of oceanic lidar are analyzed from different aspects.

METHODS TO RETRIEVE SEPARATED INSTRUMENTS IN ENDODONTICS
2022During the root canal procedure, an instrument can fracture occasionally which might block access to the apical terminus (1). The instrument may be a hand or a rotary file, Peaso reamer, Gates Glidden drill, Lentulo spiral, or some non-endodontic instruments (1,2).

Use of sonic instruments for implant biopsy retrieval
Clinical Oral Implants Research, 2014AbstractObjectiveTo evaluate in vitro the quality of dental implant biopsies collected using trephines or a sonic instrument.MethodSixty implants, 4 mm long and 2.4 mm in diameter, were installed in twelve fresh bovine ribs. Biopsies were collected after using three different methods for retrieval, 20 biopsies representing each group: (A) A trephine ...

Retrieval of instrumental verbs in aphasia: An explorative study
Clinical Linguistics & Phonetics, 1991Retrieval of instrumental verbs in two conditions in two Broca and two anomic patients was studied. The instrumental verbs were divided into two classes, viz. instrumental verbs that are related in name with the instrument (e.g. to saw-a saw) and those that are not related in name (e.g. to write-a pen). The actions had to be named (a) in isolation and (

An Instrument for Retrieval of Intravascular Foreign Bodies
Radiology, 1968Increasing use of indwelling venous catheters and percutaneous venous catheterization has led to a rather uncommon complication resulting from the loss of a catheter or guide wire into the venous system. The displaced foreign body may become lodged in any portion of the venous system, but most frequently is located in the right atrium or right ...

A new approach for the retrieval of broken instruments
Journal of Endodontics, 1999The purpose of this article is to present a modified ultrasonic spreader and a new technique that are used for the retrieval of solid obstructions that can not be bypassed by conventional methods. The technique advocated and the instruments proposed are described. A clinical case is discussed to show the possibilities and limitations of both instrument

Instrument Retrieval in Endodontics: A Literature Review
Instrument separation poses a notable challenge in endodontic therapy, with occurrence rates between 2% and 6%. While a separated instrument does not automatically equate to treatment failure, it can hinder complete debridement and obturation, which might result in bacterial survival and inflammatory responses.

Latching hook for instrument retrieval
Ocean Engineering, 1974Abstract A light-weight, latching hook on a tapered-strength, light-weight pole retrieves delicate instruments from the sea. The pole is capable of extending the operator's reach more than 6 m in securing a lifting line to instruments more massive than 500 kg.
