Management of an intracanal separated instrument: a case report.

open access: yesIranian endodontic journal, 2013
Instrument fracture within the root canal during root canal treatment is an unwanted and frustrating complication. The fractured segment may hinder cleaning and shaping procedures with potential impact on prognosis of treatment. Fracture of endodontic instrument often results from incorrect use or overuse.

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses

Accidental separation and lodgment of rotary endodontic file into the dentist's thumb

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dental Research, 2016
Separation of the endodontic instrument within the root canal system and sharp injuries to the dentist is not an uncommon event in endodontic practice. Although root canal instruments can fracture at any stage of endodontic treatment, its fracture within

Flow Separation in Rocket Nozzles, a Simple Criteria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Cold and hot flow tests were conducted to investigate the flow separation in rocket nozzles. The results are presented. A separation data base including a wide range of literature data is established to evaluate the influence of propellant combination ...

Autophagy and mitophagy in pancreatic β‐cell homeostasis and their involvement in diabetes pathophysiology

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review focuses on the role of autophagy and mitophagy in maintaining pancreatic β‐cell function and homeostasis. We discuss how genetic defects affecting these pathways contribute to the development of type 1, type 2, monogenic, and gestational diabetes. We further explore their potential as therapeutic targets. Created in BioRender.

Retrieval of Separated Endodontic Instrument

open access: yesInternational Journal of Innovative Science and Research Technology (IJISRT)
Endodontic instrument fracture is a procedural error that creates a significant barrier to routine root canal therapy. A separated instrument results in insufficient cleaning and shaping of the root canals. Inadequate biomechanical preparation has an impact on the result and outcome of root canal treatment. Therefore, retrieval of separated instruments

Ultrasonics: A Novel Approach for Retrieval of Separated Instruments

open access: yesJOURNAL OF CLINICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC RESEARCH, 2015
An instrument fracture within the root canal interferes and hinders the outcome of the successful root canal treatment. Fracture of endodontic instrument often results from incorrect use or overuse. This article reports a case of retrieval of separated endodontic instrument with help of ultrasonic and discusses the factors influencing the removal of ...

Partial depletion of plasminogen activator inhibitor‐1 decreases subcutaneous fat cell hypertrophy and liver cholesterol in high‐fat‐fed female mice

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Obesity raises blood levels of PAI‐1, a protein linked to metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease in people with obesity. In female mice fed a high‐fat diet, partially lowering PAI‐1 led to smaller subcutaneous fat cells and lower liver cholesterol, without changing body weight or insulin sensitivity.

An Adaptive Sparse Algorithm for Synthesizing Note Specific Atoms by Spectrum Analysis, Applied to Music Signal Separation

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2017
In this paper, a sparse method is proposed to synthesize the note-specific atoms for musical notes of different instruments, and is applied to separate the sounds of two instruments coexisting in a monaural mixture.
