Instrumentation for multi-detector arrays
Pramana, 2001The new generation of detector arrays require complex instrumentation and data acquisition system to ensure increased reliability of operation, high degree of integration, software control and faster data handling capability. The main features of some of the existing multi-detector arrays like MSU 4π array, Gammasphere and Eurogam are summarized.

The Lightning And Radio Emission Detector (LRD) instrument
Space Science Reviews, 1992The Lightning and Radio Emission Detector (LRD) instrument will be carried by the Galileo Probe into Jupiter's atmosphere. The LRD will verify the existence of lightning in the atmosphere and will determine the details of many of its basic characteristics.

Improved acoustic instrumentation of the SIMPLE detector
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2008Abstract The application of Superheated Droplet Detectors in dark matter searches by the SIMPLE project uses an acoustic instrumentation sensitive to the shock wave generated by the bubble nucleation of the refrigerant droplets. Previous instrumentation has been unable to distinguish between true nucleation and background noise events in the device ...

The evolution of nuclear detector instrumentation
Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1979The development of radar, computers, communications and space systems generate the advanced technology essential for all instrumentation. Pulse and digital techniques are essential ingredients in these areas as well as in nuclear instruments . The relatively small funds available for the development of nuclear instruments cannot justify the development

Instrumentation of a Stilbene Scintillation Detector
IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 1967This paper describes the electronic instrumentation of a stilbene scintillation detector which is used as a neutron spectrometer. In this application, the spectrum of scintillations caused by protons from (n,p) reactions must be measured and recorded for further analysis.

Characterization of the H1RG detector for NICFPS instrument
SPIE Proceedings, 2006We are presenting the preliminary characterization results of the Rockwell Scientific HgCdTe detector array used in the Near Infrared Camera and Fabry-Perot Spectrograph (NIC-FPS). The detector was fabricated to cover the wavelength range from 0.8 to 2.5 microns and is bonded to a Hawaii-1RG multiplexer.

Radiation Detectors for CT Instrumentation
1984The selection of the radiation detector is a basic consideration in the design of instrumentation for transmission and emission computed tomography. Almost every conceivable detector type has been considered at one time or another; however, in general, scintillation crystal detectors have gained prominence in all modalities in medical imaging.
