Design and development of computer networking modules using virtual instruments and object oriented programming

Proceedings of the 5th conference on Information technology education, 2004
The students' over reliance upon formulas and routine use of technique in problem solving too often lead to poor performance in advanced courses and a high attrition rate in the engineering, technology, and science programs. The students' lack of comprehension of mathematical concepts results in time wastage during laboratory experiments ...

Musical instrument capable of changing style of performance through idle keys, method employed therein and computer program for the method

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2005
A silent piano is available for a performance through electronic tones, and a player can give a timbre different from that of an acoustic piano to the electronic tones; when the player specifies a timbre of another acoustic musical instrument having a compass narrower than the compass of the acoustic piano, the key levers outside of the compass are ...

Transferring data and measuring programs with KERMIT between PC type computers, GILFORD SYSTEM 2600 spectrophotometers and other scientific instruments

Journal of Microbiological Methods, 1995
Abstract A menu-driven procedure employing MS-DOS-KERMIT is described which allows two-way data transfer between GILFORD SYSTEM 2600 spectrophotometers and PCs. The photometer can be remotely controlled from the PC keyboard. Measuring programs can be downloaded from the PC and data from the spectrophotometer can be collected in ASCII files.

CSUP, a computer program to reconstruct a physical distribution, from counting spectra distorted by the instrumental resolution

Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1967
Abstract In nuclear physics experiments the counting spectra obtained from a measuring chain are often strongly distorted by the finite instrumental resolution. In this paper a computer aided method (CSUP) is described which furnishes the most probable input spectrum and its uncertainty from the knowledge of both experimental spectrum and ...
