Instrumentation and machines for dynamic tests [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, 1960
AbstractIt has been shown that use of wide‐band instrumentation in dynamic mechanical measurements can reveal the presence of high‐frequency ringing and other mechanical defects in the wave form. The use of low‐pass filters to suppress electrical noise can hide such defects. It is therefore better to eliminate the electrical noise at the source. If the

Machine Learning for a Music Glove Instrument

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
A music glove instrument equipped with force sensitive, flex and IMU sensors is trained on an electric piano to learn note sequences based on a time series of sensor inputs. Once trained, the glove is used on any surface to generate the sequence of notes most closely related to the hand motion.

Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...
