Clinical Outcomes After Failed Endoscopic Detorsion for Sigmoid Volvulus: A Single‐Center Retrospective Cohort Study

ABSTRACT Objectives Endoscopic detorsion is the first‐line treatment for sigmoid volvulus (SV); however, detorsion is not always successful. We evaluated clinical outcomes after failed endoscopic detorsion and assessed recurrence in patients who achieved clinical success after decompression.

ABSTRACT Gastric subepithelial lesions (SELs) comprise a heterogeneous group of tumors, among which gastric schwannomas are rare and generally benign. We report a case of a large gastric schwannoma with ulceration and symptomatic anemia that showed an apparent endoscopic decrease in size following Helicobacter pylori eradication.

ABSTRACT Endoscopic band ligation (EBL) is performed for hemostasis in patients with colonic diverticular bleeding (CDB) due to its low rebleeding rate. However, suction and ligation are not successful in some cases. We describe the case of a 93‐year‐old woman with CDB in whom EBL failed.
