Active and silenced chromatin domains are often in close juxtaposition to one another, and enhancer and silencer elements operate over large distances to regulate the genes in these domains. The lack of promiscuity in the function of these elements suggests that active mechanisms exist to restrict their activity.

The general scheme of coordination is discussed. Average circuit insulation used in 1930 is shown. The relation that switching surges and arcing ground overvoltages bear on coordination is discussed giving the number and magnitude of such waves found in service.

Electronic charge exchange at insulator-insulator interface in insulating composites
Proceedings of 1994 4th International Conference on Properties and Applications of Dielectric Materials (ICPADM), 2002The charge exchange at the insulator-insulator interface in insulating composites is affected by the direction of the carrier transport and carrier species. In this paper the charge exchange process at the PS-PMMA interface was discussed on the basis of asymmetric photoconduction and contact charging.

A series of tests on suspension insulators For power transmission lines is described this paper, and results are given which should be of interest to design engineers. The tests made included long-time Fatigue tests, the distribution of voltage over the insulator string, and the flashover voltage when some of the units are electrically defective.
