Insulator Defect Detection Algorithm Based on Improved YOLOv11n

open access: yesSensors
Ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical power systems requires the efficient detection of defects in high-voltage transmission line insulators, which play a critical role in electrical isolation and mechanical support. Environmental factors often lead to insulator defects, highlighting the need for accurate detection methods.

Thermally Engineered Sodium‐Embedded Alumina with Programmable Synaptic Plasticity for Neuromorphic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fully transparent, all‐metal‐oxide neuromorphic transistor using a sodium‐embedded alumina (SEA) electrolyte is demonstrated. By precisely tuning the thermal annealing process, the chemical composition of the SEA layer is controlled, allowing for the deterministic realization of both short‐term and long‐term synaptic plasticity within the same device

Reducing the density of electrical insulation defect in silicon dioxide film deposited on fluorine-doped tin oxide layer

open access: yesResults in Engineering
The SiO2 film is a common electrical insulating layer in microelectronic devices, which is deposited by the sputtering technique. While, the electrical insulation failure of SiO2 film is usually caused by the random defects in SiO2 film.

Polymer Network Modified Perovskite for High‐Performance Pure Blue Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A polymer network of poly(4‐vinylphenol) (PVPh) is introduced to improve pure blue perovskite light‐emitting diodes. PVPh effectively passivates defects, enhances film morphology, reduces lattice strain, and suppresses ion migration. These effects lead to record device performance, achieving 9.82% external quantum efficiency and stable blue emission at
