In this study, a simulation model of surface charge accumulation has been established. The model considers three accumulation ways, i.e. electrical conduction within the gas, through insulator volume and along the insulator surface.

Effective hydrodynamic field theory and condensation picture of topological insulators
While many features of topological band insulators are commonly discussed at the level of single-particle electron wave functions, such as the gapless Dirac spectrum at their boundary, it remains elusive to develop a {\it hydrodynamic} or {\it collective}

Topological Anderson Insulator
Disorder plays an important role in two dimensions, and is responsible for striking phenomena such as metal insulator transition and the integral and fractional quantum Hall effects. In this paper, we investigate the role of disorder in the context of the recently discovered topological insulator, which possesses a pair of helical edge states with ...

Coulomb Spike Model of Radiation Damage in Wide Band-Gap Insulators
A novel Coulomb spike concept is applied to the radiation damage induced in LiF and SiO2 with about the same mass density (~2.65 g cm−3) by Ni2860 and Kr3684 ions of 1.0-MeV u−1 energy for about the same electronic energy loss (~10 MeV µm−1).

Determining topological order from a local ground state correlation function
Topological insulators are physically distinguishable from normal insulators only near edges and defects, while in the bulk there is no clear signature to their topological order.

Insulator defect detection based on improved Yolov5s
The stable operation of a power supply system is inseparable from the work of detecting defects in transmission lines. However, the insulator defect detection model based on deep learning is widely used in wire inspection work.

There are two classes of Mott insulators in nature, distinguished by their responses to weak doping. With increasing chemical potential, Type I Mott insulators undergo a first order phase transition from the undoped to the doped phase. In the presence of

Strong energy-momentum dispersion of phonon-dressed carriers in the lightly doped band insulator SrTiO$_3$ [PDF]
Much progress has been made recently in the study of the effects of electron-phonon (el-ph) coupling in doped insulators using angle resolved photoemission (ARPES), yielding evidence for the dominant role of el-ph interactions in underdoped cuprates.
