The rise of lead halide perovskite semiconductors has enabled high‐performance LEDs with internal quantum efficiencies approaching 100%. In order to further enhance the external quantum efficiencies limited by light outcoupling effects, in this account, the strategies for reducing energy dissipation through the substrate, waveguide, and evanescent ...

Nonlocal Conduction in a Metawire
A 1D metawire composed of twisted copper wires is designed and realized. This metamaterial exhibits pronounced effects of nonlocal electric conduction according to Ohm's law. The current at one location not only depends on the electric field at that location but also on other locations.

Recent Advances in Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells
Ubiquitous defects predominately account for photo‐instability and open‐circuit voltage losses in wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells (WBG PSCs). This review comprehensively presents the underlying impact mechanisms, summarizes the advanced optimization strategies across various functional layers and their interfaces to develop efficient and stable WBG

New dissipated energy for nonnegative weak solution of unstable thin-film equations [PDF]
The fluid thin film equation $h_t = - (h^n h_{xxx})_x - a_1\,(h^m h_x)_x$ is known to conserve mass $\int\,h \, dx$, and in the case of $a_1 \leq 0$, to dissipate entropy $\int\,h^{3/2 - n}\,dx$ (see [8]) and the $L^2$-norm of the gradient $\int\,h_x^2\,dx$ (see [3]). For the special case of $a_1 = 0$ a new dissipated quantity $\int\, h^{\alpha}\,h_x^2\
